Journalings

This is a place for sharing items that I think might be of interest to others. My e-mails often involve sending some newly discovered website or an updated project to many different folks, so I thought it might be more efficient to try this approach. Feedback encouraged, and I have turned on the comments permission now that there's a Spam control. Feel free!

Playing Catch-Up

Finding the time to keep this blog current is not as easy as I imagined! I've got to 'automate' some aspect of incoming information to make it pour onto this page better.
Latest adventures include building a potting shed/solarium/meditation hut in the back corner of the garden that receives all-day winter sun when the walnut tree drops its leaves. A perfect spot, with a two-section hinged roof to allow ventilation in hot weather. Also I've put the hammock seat back out on the sundeck, my summertime favorite site.
Recent item of interest: New findings about "junk DNA" may bring some surprises. Researchers working at the Human Genome Project will be announcing soon that they made an astonishing scientific discovery: they believe so-called non-coding sequences (97%) in human DNA is no less than genetic code of an unknown extraterrestrial life form. The original website is in Czech only, but click here for article.
